Tree Guards

A tree guard is a protective fence installed around the perimeter of a tree bed to shield trees from the stresses of NYC’s urban environment. Tree Guards provide a physical barrier that reduces soil compaction, protects tree trunks from physical damage, and reduces pet waste from entering the tree bed. By reducing stress on trees, tree guards help extend tree longevity, lower mortality rates, and can create a protected space for community generated planting and gardening. Review Key Considerations
