Small Hoop Rack

DOT developed the Small Hoop Rack, a mini version of the Large Hoop Rack, in 2011 to provide more cost-effective bike parking through repurposing parking meter poles that were rendered obsolete by MuniMeters. Description

  • Small hoop: 18 inches diameter, cast-metal circle installed on retired parking meter poles

Siting

  • On existing, retired parking meter poles or new locations as desired (typically only on blocks serviced by MuniMeters).

Installation

  • DOT installs and maintains small hoop racks on parking meter poles as they are retired, or new locations as desired
